The Services DBU has an exciting opportunity for a Business Controller. As the Business Controller you will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, supporting recruitment activity and business performance across our dedicated teams.

Services is a constantly evolving area of the business. In this critical role you will be supporting our team, which is comprised of a broad range of experts in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, project management and procurement. Within the Business Management team, you will have exposure to a variety of opportunities, offering significant scope for professional development, cross-functional collaboration and strategic influence.

You will have the opportunity to utilise your IT and reporting skills and support in leading cross-functional initiatives, optimise our business processes and support the strategic growth of our department. With a focus on data-driven decision-making you will work closely with our engineering and project management teams to deliver value to our internal and external customers.

Your needs are as unique as you are. What you will be doing

This position will give you opportunity to lead operational planning and analysis to drive strategic decisions, efficiency and growth across the business. You’ll partner with senior leaders to deliver insights, streamline and digitise processes whilst supporting resource strategies. With this attractive opportunity you will get a chance to;

  • Supporting the recruitment strategy and recruitment processes for both internal and external hires.
  • Providing critical business reporting and insights
  • Collaborating with senior leaders across the business to turn data into action and deliver measurable impact.

  • Supporting strategic decision making and financial performance.

To be successful in this role you will be experienced:

  • Supporting recruitment activities, processes and improvements
  • Working with and understanding basic Financial/Cost Reporting
  • Operating within a KPI/KFE led environment
  • Presenting data and insights to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, notable Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance.  Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.  Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MoD approved cases, a dual national.
