Job Title: Customs Compliance Analyst

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 in office days a week)

Working Location: Indianapolis, IN

What you will be doing:

  • Coordinate with Customs Broker, Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers to ensure imports are compliant with U.S. Customs laws & regulations
  • Coordinate day-to-day customs operation to ensure all imports are executed timely and accurately
  • Review shipping documents i.e. Bill of Lading, Airway bills, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, & Certificates of Origin for accuracy and resolve any issues
  • Assist in Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications and help maintain accuracy and alignment across a global customs organization
  • Ensure applicability of requirements for ITAR, DFARS, PGAs, & FTAs
  • Maintain and adhere to internal customs compliance documents and procedures
  • Promote a compliance mindset in area of responsibility while consistently looking for efficiency and simplification

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate degree with 3+ years of international trade & customs experience, OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 1+ years of international trade & customs experience, OR
  • Master’s degree, OR
  • JD/PhD, OR
  • 5+ years of international trade & customs experience in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable of U.S. Customs Regulations (US 19 CFR)
  • Base knowledge of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
  • Customs compliance certifications such as CCS, CES, or LCB (or actively pursuing)
  • Experience in Harmonized Tariff Schedule classifications of Aerospace products
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve compliance issues
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong business etiquette which maintains a respectful and productive work-place environment across a multi-national organization
